11 hurt in accidents

POONCH, July 10: Eleven persons were injured in two separate road accidents  in Mandi and Mendhar area of  district Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that six persons were injured when a mini-bus (Canter JK12/6036), over turned on the road near Chandak when it was coming from  Mandi town  to Poonch at around 10.30 am today. The driver tried to save two villagers moving on the road and take sharp cut resulting into accident.
All the injured were rushed to District Hospital, Poonch. They were identified as Fakhar Din, his wife Parveen Akhtar, hailing from Chikri Ban; Mohd Akbar from the same village,  Jamila, wife of Mohd Latief from Loran, Mushtaq Hussain from Salunian and Hanifa Bi, wife of Mohd Hussain from Saiklu village. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, five persons were injured when two light passenger vehicles  ( Sumo and Tempo Trax) collided at  Nadol in Chhatral area of Mendhar this evening.  The injured were admitted to SDH Mendhar.
They are Mohd Shafi from Tappa, Maqsooda Begum from Banola, Sageer  Bi and Karamat Bi , both from Simkan and Channa Bi from Danova village in Mendhar.
