10 killed in fire in Pakistan’s Sindh

KARACHI: At least 10 people, including women and children, were today killed in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province when a fire broke out at a tent, police said.

The fire broke out in the morning in a tent located in Keti Bandar area in Thatta city which engulfed several makeshift houses, local media reported.

Three women and four children were among the 10 killed, police said, adding that several others received serious burns.

The injured have been shifted to a Karachi hospital for treatment.

According to preliminary investigation, the fire broke out due to the presence of petrol and other lubricants in the tent house, which was used in fishing business. (AGENCIES)
