10 bovines rescued, two held

DODA, July 14: Police rescued 10 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers from Dal Draman area, falling under the jurisdiction of Doda police station.
A police spokesman said that, on specific input, police party from Police Station Doda laid a naka at Dal Draman and intercepted two persons namely Mohammad Razab, son of Mustafa Ali of Horna, Tehsil Chhatru, District Kishtwar and Abdul Qayoom, son of Hussain Shah if Chapla Dhara, district Doda carrying bovine animals.
During questioning, both failed to give satisfactory reply and were arrested. 10 bovines were rescued from their possession, which they were smuggling towards Srinagar on foot.
A case under FIR No 132/14 has been registered against the accused at police station Doda and investigation started.
