AKHNOOR, Jan 31: A woman was killed while four persons were injured after a speeding bus turned turtle near Tanda, police said.
According to the reports, the ill-fated bus bearing registration No JK02BH- 8493 turned turtle near Tanda, resulting into injuries to five persons. The accident took place due to alleged negligence of driver.
After getting information, police team from Akhnoor police station led by SHO Inspector Kuldeep Kumar and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor, where doctor declared one of the injured as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Marin Bibi, wife of Fayaz Alam.
The injured have been identified as Kailu Ram of Badog (Kalakote), Shiv Ram and Fayaz Ahmed of Dhano and Ajay Kumar of Chowki Choura.
A case under FIR No 21/2015 under Section 279, 337 and 304-A RPC has been registered at police station Akhnoor and manhunt has been launched to nab the driver.
