1 killed, 10 injured as Tata Sumo rolls down

REASI, Dec 17: One person was killed and ten others are injured when a Tata Sumo rolled down in a deep gorge at Ladh Gulabgarh, here this morning.
Tata Sumo, bearing registration number 6701/JK02AJ, was on way from Lower Ladh to Upper Ladh when it skidded off the road and rolled down into 150 mtrs deep gorge.
The injured were evacuated from the accident site by a Police team from PP Dewal with the help of locals of the area. The victims were rushed to Sub-District Hospital Mahore where one of them succumbed to his injuries while three others with critical wounds, were airlifted to GMC Hospital Jammu and five others referred to district Hospital Reasi.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Qayoom, an SPO, belt number 255/rsi police of Police Post Dewal.
Those airlifted to GMC, are as Mohd Shafi (45), son of Ali Mohd of Ladh, Mohd Rafiq (33), son of Ab Gani of Ladh and 6 years old Mohd Irfan, son of Mushtaq Ahmad of Dewal..
The persons, referred to DH Reasi are as Gulzar Bano (37), wife of Manzoor Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad (20), son of Ab Samad, Imtiaz Ahmad (16), son of Bhar Din and Rizwan Ahmad, son of Manzoor Ahmad, all residents of Ladh and Faiz Ahmad son of Noor Mohd of Dewal.
Imran Hussain, son of Bahr Din of Ladh and Bahab Din son of Akbar of Dewal are undergoing treatment at Mahore Hhospital.
Driver of the vehicle, namely Manzoor, was absconding.
In this connection, a case FIR number 85/16 u/s 279 337. 304A .has been registered at police station Mahore.
