Danida has been providing support to the health sector in Madhya Pradesh for voter two decades. The current phase is due to conclude on 14.11.2004. Adviser (Drug Distribution & Management) will advise and assist in setting up and efficient and effective drug procurement & distribution system, building management capacity of the Government health staff and institutionalizing an oppropriate health management information system. S/he will assist the districts in working out their plans and budgets for implementing the health sector activities. Qualifications: Master degree in Management/Public Health, Added qualifications/experience in the health sector planning and management/health systems development will be an advantage. Adviser (IEC) will assist in formulation of IEC strategies, lans and programmes; implementation and monitoring of IEC activities; capacity building for the IEC functionaries and local governments. S/he will identify operations research issues and develop concept papers; work out TORs for pilot interventions, studies, impact assessment etc. and be responsible for documentation and dissemination of the lessons learnt in the project. Qualification: Masters degree in Social Sciences/Development Communication. Added qualifications/experience in operations Research and /or working with local Governments will be an advantage.
