HIRANAGAR, Oct 3: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) and two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists, involved in Tuesday morning’s strike here, were killed while two police constables were seriously injured in a fierce exchange of gun-battle this morning. Security forces continued a hunt for the third terrorist but he hadn’t been spotted so far..............more

SRINAGAR, Oct 3: If not the Hurriyat conglomerate, but some of separatist parties have remarkably compromised their interpretation of the Azadi around the timing of the current Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir. "Azadi from NC" is the buzzword in a section of the separatist camp. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has also been dismissing the National Conference (NC) as a stumbling block in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute. Its prime stress is also on the "Azadi from NC". Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Ghulam Nabi Azad too laid enough of stress on liberating the State from the "NC’s misrule"................more
