SRINAGAR, May 21: Senior separatist Hurriyat Conference leader and founder-president of Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference, Abdul Gani Lone, was gunned down by unidentified assassins, alongwith his personal security officer (PSO), at the "Martyrs Graveyard", on Eidgah grounds here this evening. The seventy-year-old politician’s death came in broad daylight on occasion of the 12th death anniversary of Mirwaiz Maulvi Farooq, who was gunned down by militants at his residence, this day in 1990.............more
