KOROTANA (Indo-Pak Border), Jan 8: Deafening sounds of ammunition poundered by the Pakistani soldiers, repeatedly piercing through the ominous atmosphere, gripped with melancholy and fear. For the last more than 15 days Pak soldiers have been resorting to heavy firing, some times with ferocious intensity and some times with low intensity. Amidst this tense atmosphere some youth, with tools in their hands, were digging ditches and laying cables for troops. Inhabitants of border hamlets, these youth were soldiers of ‘different kind’. Neither they are donning olive green nor they have been assigned this job but they are discharging their duties as Indians... .....more
