Vajpayee rules out meeting Musharraf in New York

NEW DELHI, Oct 29 : Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee tonight ruled out meeting Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in New York next month. "If I have to meet Musharraf, I don’t have to go to New York. We can meet either in Delhi or Islamabad," he told reporters after an hour-long meeting with the visiting German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder who has urged both the countries to resume bilateral dialogue. . ...more

"A new code of conduct is evolving in which the international coalition is coming to a general idea that it would not be internationally acceptable to have business deals with those harbouring terrorists", he told reporters at the American Centre here. "The days are over when the international community believed that it was business as usual with countries harbouring terrorism", he said.
