Peoples Party (PPP) and
former Prime Minister, has warned
that things in Kashmir will
"further deteriorate"
if prompt and effective measures
were not taken to prevent
non-Kashmiris from interfering in
the internal matters of Kashmir.
Her reference was to the presence
of non-Kashmiri jihadis and
mujahideen in Jammu and
Kashmir. "People of Kashmir
should, indeed, be encouraged to
seek resolution of their
problems, political and economic,
themselves without the
interference or dictation from
non-Kashmiris", Ms Benazir

Dissidents not adamant on
Qureshi's removal: Gaekwad

JAMMU,
Nov 27: To iron out
differences among the warring factions of
the Pradesh Congress, the party high
command has decided to constitute
committees at different levels and
leaders owing allegiance to the both
groups will be involved in these
committees. Responsibility will be fixed
on leaders, whether they belonged to
pro-Qureshi or anti-Qureshi groups, for
the functioning of the party. This was
disclosed by Mr Satyajit Gaekwad, All
India secretary of the Congress Committee
in an exclusive interview with EXCELSIOR.
Mr Gaekwad, who has been assigned the
special task by the Congress high command
to bring about an understanding among
different factions of the party,
disclosed that he met with prominent
leaders considered as
dissidents and hoped that he
will succeed in ironing out
