Strive for peace
Sir,
Right from
partition of the country, Pakistan has been
involved in fomenting trouble in J&K through
different militant outfits and their notorious
leaders. Unlike 1947, when she used Qabalis for
the aggression for capturing Kashmir, this time
the modus operandi is different. Zia ul Haq, the
then dictator of Pakistan in order to save his
throne, planned 'Operation Topac' and used
Kashmiri people and other Muslim fanatics by
training them for creating a sense of terror
among the people of Kashmir on the name of Jehad.
Many fanatic elements from Muslim countries were
also persuaded to join militancy deeming it as
religious cause. This step was initiated by
Pakistan, actually after the frustration she
received when her schemes failed in Punjab. As
was mentioned earlier, she had been nursing a
grudge against India right from partition days.
Although the accession of Kashmir with India was
full and final and signed by Lord Mount Batten,
the then Governor General of India on 26th of
October, 1947, America always took the side of
Pakistan and never allowed the matter to be
solved in favour of India as per the document of
accession. India managed a friend in Russia and
was saved from many embarrassing occasions in
Security Council/United Nations.
Now when America
is making a hunt for the culprits who have dared
her in its own territory waking her from the
slumber which she had started to enjoy after the
collapse of the USSR, She is seeking the
coordination of all the countries. India being
the sufferer of terrorism has offered all the
help of its own to America with the hope that she
may come to India's rescue by eliminating
terrorism, which may take its stride towards
India after being hit by the great powers.
India must realise
that her new found friend will only exploit its
position to gain her motives. Money is no
consideration for this super powers She lifted
some monetary restrictions imposed on India or
Pakistan, because she has some thing to do so far
as the core policy of America is concerned. We
can cite the example of Pakistan where America
utilised its position to the maximum without
caring Pak's relation with Afghanistan and left
her to fend for herself although Pak always
boasted of being America's friend. No doubt,
America is using a thief to catch a thief because
Pakistan and Afghanistan are the main breeding
institutes for terrorists from the very
beginning.
But India in the
present circumstances should not feel happy and
under estimate America with her soft words and
should never think that she will directly fight
India's war against terrorism in India. America
has her own axe to grind in the region. Now when
the Pakistan has already taken a u-turn against
Talibans, it should similar step towards
terrorism and stop inciting people here or their
for creating hostile atmosphere against India.
The prayers that India and Pakistan should feel
the pulse of the circumstances and come closer,
cannot become a reality until and unless the
present rulers of Pakistan and India realise this
fact that they are making the Westerns more
powerful by their infighting and losing their
grounds by rendering this Asian region weak and
helpless despite being nuclear powers. It is
understood that both the countries cannot afford
war and day today skirmishes on borders due to
one pretext or the other asit is sending wrong
impressions in the world where the big lion will
always taken advantage of the weaker. Majhab
Naheen Sikhata Aapus Main Bair Rakhna, the sooner
we learn this truth, the better it is.
