MOSCOW, Nov 6: India and Russia today declared that terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir and Chechenya ‘in reality’ represented acts of terrorism and warned against the spilling over of the current Afghanistan conflict beyond its boundaries. US campaign enters second month

Shah under house arrest, 5 detained

SRINAGAR, Nov 6: President of J and K Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP), Shabir Shah, was today placed under house arrest while five party leaders were taken into preventive custody as police foiled an attempt by them to march to the United Nations Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) office near here to protest the "innocent killings" in Afghanistan.........more

It swooped on Shopian-Srinagar road minutes after it learned about an unprecedented development.
