Lt Gen JBS YadavaJAMMU, Oct 1: Lt Gen JBS Yadava, GOC 16 Corps today said that Pakistan’s relentless support to the terrorism is the real cause of the Kashmir problem. He was of the view that till level of violence are not scaled down significantly, peace initiatives are unlikely to make any significant headway. Addressing valedictory session at the seminar, ‘Jammu and Kashmir: The Way Ahead’, Lt Gen Yadava admitted that Pakistan has maintained reasonable restraint on Line of Control (LoC) since misadventures of any kind were retaliated instantly but the infiltration has been going unabated. "Though Pakistan has maintained restraint on LoC but has shifted its activities on hinter-land", he said and killings of militants have increased this year. .... .more
