SRINAGAR, May 9: While as an Assistant Commandant of Border Security Force, one militant and seven civilians died in a powerful mine-blast at Magam town of Budgam district and seven more civilians sustained injuries in BSF firing on a passenger bus, at least five civilians, one soldier of Rashtriya Rifles, one Police constable and three counter-insurgents were killed in other militancy-related incidents across Kashmir valley since last evening...............more

JAMMU, May 9: A full-fledged military exercise is being conducted by Nagrota Corps of army at Dasuha near Mukerian in Punjab as a part of ‘Pooran Vijay’ operation. Air Force and ground troops were involved in the exercise. Addressing a press conference at 16 Corps headquarters in Nagrota this morning, Chief of Staff Maj Gen H S Kanwar described the military exercise as ‘a routine army training’ in which all sophisticated and latest equipments were being used..................more
