1. If due to any reason of holiday, auction is not conducted on the stipulated date and time, then it will be conducted on the next working day.

Applications on prescribed form are invited for selection of candidates for admission to the Three Years Diploma Course in Handloom Technology, Chowkaghat, Varanasi which should reach in the office of the Director, Handloom Development Deptt; Puran Nagar, New Plots, Jammu (in respect of Jammu Division) and Joint Director Handloom Dev. Department, White House Maghermal Bath, Srinagar (in respect of Kashmir Division) on or before 10.4.2001 during office working hours on any working day. The candidates would be called for interview as would be fulfilling necessary requirements as laid down in this notice:-

1. The selection of candidates would broadly be governed by the followings conditions:-

"A pass in SSC/SSLC/HSLC with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English/Technical High School/Matriculation with Math and Science/General SSC/SSLC/10 years school all with eligibility for admission to plus two/Higher Secondary course of study/intermediate course with aggregate minimum of 60% marks but having not less than 60% marks in Science and Mathematics with English in each subject as well in the qualifying Examination. In the case of SC/ST candidate minimum percentage required is 50%

"Any other qualifications recognised as equivalent to the above by the Board of Secondary Education of the State. Whereever there are elective or optionals should be Science and Mathematics or Engineering with a minimum of 60% in Science and Mathematics with English as a subject of study in Matriculation in the qualifying examination (10% relaxation in case of SC/ST candidates).

2. Age should be between 15 to 21 years and for SC/ST candidates it should be 15 to 23 years, as on Ist July of the year of admission.

3. Applications will be entertained only in case of permanent residents of J&K State.

4. Applications shall have to appear in the interview before the Selection Committee at their own expenses.

5. Preference in Selection will be given to candidates who belong to the hereditary weavers families or those who are in the profession.

6. Application forms duly filled in and completed in all respects should be accompanied by the attested copies of Matriculation Certificate, Mark List, State Subject Certificate, Character Certificate and a certificate, belonging to Weaver's family or experience certificate, if any.

7. The selected candidates will have to deposit Rs. 500/= towards caution money and Rs. 500/- per annum towards tuition fee at the time of admission.

8. A stipend of Rs. 400/- per month will be paid to the first four candidates during the Ist year, Rs. 450/ during the 2nd years and Rs. 500/- the 3rd year to the selected candidates. Whereas last two candidates shall be paid stipend @ Rs. 200/-, 225/- and Rs. 250/- respectively.

9. The students selected for admission are required to execute the stipend bond in the prescribed form.

The completed forms should either be sent by registered post or delivered personally in the office of the Director, Handloom Development Deptt; Post Office Lane, Puran Nagar, New Plots, Jammu/Joint Director, Handloom Dev. Deptt; White House Maghermal Bagh, Srinagar respectively.

It is hereby ordered that :

(i) any Homeopathic graduate/diploma holder may practise Homeopathic system of Medicine in the State for a period of one year subject to the following conditions; namely :-

(a) that he is a Permanent Resident of theState.

(b) that he has obtained Homeopathic degree/diploma from any of the recognised institutions mentioned in Schedule II or Schedule III of the Homeopathic Central Council Act, 1973;

(c) that he has got himself registered with the Registrar on production/verification of his certificates and on payment of fees prescribed for registration under the J&K Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, 1959 and the rules framed thereunder; and

(d) that he has obtained a certificate from the Registrar to the effect that he has obtained a valid Homeopathic degree/diploma from a recognised institution referred to above and

(ii) the Registrar Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicines, appointed under section 14 of the J&K Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, 1959, shall be the authority for registration of Practitioners in Homeopathic system of Medicine in the State hereinafter referred to as the ''Registrar''.

Further the Government hereby clarify that the issuance of this order shall not amount to any financial commitment for setting up of the clinics by such degree/diploma holders.

Reference: PHQ Advertisement Notice issued under No. Estt-MT-13/2000-41927-999 Dated 23-10-2000.

Notice

The candidates who have qualified Physical Measurement Test for the posts of S I Computer and S.I. Automobile in J&K Police and who have been found eligible as per the Advertisement Notice, are hereby informed to attend the written test to be held on April 8,2001, at district police line Jammu and district police line Srinagar at 11 AM for which necessary boards have already been Constituted. All the eligible candidates are informed to obtain their Admit Cards (Rolls Nos) from their respective Range DIsG from 01-4-2001 to 07-04-2001 enabling the candidates to report for his admission in the Written Test to be held on the above date. The candidates must report before the Board of officers well in time at the venue of written test for identification of the candidates so that the examination can start at the stipulated time i.e. 11 AM. The list of candidates eligible for the written test shall be available in the office of concerned Range DIsG. The list of other candidates who have not been found eligible as per the provisions of Advertisement Notice or had not qualified the Physical Measurement Test shall be available in the office of concerned Range DIsG.

Interview for Personal Assessment Test/Viva-voice shall be held at District Police Lines Jammu for candidates belonging to Jammu Province from 11-4-2001 and for the candidates belonging to Kashmir Province from 18-4-2001, at 1000 hrs. This test shall be held for all those candidates who would appear in the written test. All the candidates shall, therefore, report for Personal Interview at Jammu in time. Candidates should bring original certificates alongwith them on the date of interview.

All eligible candidates shall have to appear for the written test as well as interview on their personal expenses and the department shall pay no TA/DA.

Eligible candidates of District Leh and Kargil shall appear in the written test as well as interview at District Police Lines Jammu on the above mentioned dates.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed Tenders are invited from the approved dealers/suppliers for supply of the following items.

The Tenders should be addressed to Dy. Director, State Motor Garages, Deptt. Jammu by name and reach the undersigned by or before 16-4-2001 and the same will be opened on 16-4-2001 at 11 A.M. in presence of the tenderers who wish to be present at that time.

The tenderers should quoted their rates both in words and figures specifying full particulars.

The tender should be delivered in the office of the undersigned and the tenderer shall obtain a receipt thereof.

No tender with cutting/overwritting shall be entertained.

The tenders received after the expiry of above mentioned date shall not be accepted.

The items supplied will be accepted subject to the remarks of the inspection committee of this department.

In case the item is not supplied within fifteen days from the date of issue of supply order the same will be lifted from the next lowest tenderer and difference of cost will be recovered from first lowest tenderer.
