a firm endorsement of India’s stand, UN Secretary
General Kofi Annan has said that Lahore Declaration and
not UN resolutions could pave the way for a solution to

March 11: Union Minister of
State for Civil Aviation and senior BJP
leader, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta has said
that 135 villages have been identified to
provide security cover to the Sikh
families residing in Kashmir.In an
interview with Excelsior, the senior BJP
leader who is also representing
Udhampur—Doda Lok Sabha constituency
expressed that the security was reviewed
at a high level meeting by Union Home
Minister L K Advani and Defence Minister
George Fernandes last week. The meeting
discussed measures to provide security
cover to the members of minority
community. It was decided to ensure
special security cover to 135 villages.
Military and Para-Military forces have
been tasked to ensure security to these
minorities.....
