ASSARAIN CONCRETE PRODUCTS Our client is part of a large, diversified and professionally managed Group in Sultanate of Oman, and manufactures and markets paving blocks, kerbstones and building blocks. They are presently commissioning a large, state-of-the-art fully automatic block and titles plant and are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented Deputy General Manager for the company. The position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for managing the sales & marketing, production, plant maintenance, HR activities of the company, etc., and leads a workforce of about 100 people. The position would also be responsible for the successful commissioning of the new plant and its operational and commercial success, and eventually take full profit-centre responsibilities of the company. The ideal candidate would be a Civil/Mechanical Engineer, preferably with an additional MBA qualification from a reputed institute/university, and should have a proven track record of around 12-15 years of relevant experience in a similar industry, of which at least 3 years should have been at the senior management level. In-depth knowledge of construction/building materials (including the latest trends) is essential. All applicants should possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Prior Middle East experience would be a distinct advantage. Preferred age: around 40 years.
