Short Term Bio-Technology Fellowships-2001

NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited from the permanent residents of J&K State for the award of ''Short Term Bio-Technology Fellowships 2001'' for undergoing advanced research and learning new techniques in frontier areas of Bio-technology for a period of three to six months at National Research Laboratories/Institutions/centres outside the State.

ELIGIBILITY (i) The applicant should possess at least master's degree in bio-technology/biological sciences/medical sciences or equivalent (2) The applicant should be below the age of 35 years as on Ist day of January, 2001 (3) The candidate should be holding regular position in any govt./semi govt/recognised institute or University of the State (4) An institution outside the State should have expressed its willingness to accept the applicant for training/research for the period of the fellowship for which letter of acceptance must accompany the application or be produced at the time of interview (5) The candidate must be formally allowed by his/her employer to avail of the Fellowship (6) On completion of the training, a detailed work done report is to be furnished to this department by the fellow duly authenticated by the guide concerned.

DETAILS OF THE AWARD : The fellowship carries a stipend of Rs 2500/- per month with a contigency grant of Rs 500/- per month and one time to and fro first class/2nd class A C rail/bus fare from the parent institution to the host institute. This is in addition to the normal salary the fellow is entitled to from his/her parent organisation. Application forms can be obtained from.
