Notice to Dealers/Traders
The "dealers", whose
"goods" have been seized under the
provisions of J&K GST Act, 1962 were informed
individually as well as Public Notice issued in
leading dailies on 18-01-2001, to get their goods
released. None has responded.
It is again informed through this
public notice that "goods" seized under
GST Act, 1962 be got released on or before
01-04-2001 by the concerned, failing which the
goods shall be sold in "Auction" during
the first fortnight of April' 2001.

Applications on prescribed form are
invited for selection of candidates for admission
to the Three Years Diploma Course in Handloom
Technology, Chowkaghat, Varanasi which should
reach in the office of the Director, Handloom
Development Deptt; Puran Nagar, New Plots, Jammu
(in respect of Jammu Division) and Joint Director
Handloom Dev. Department, White House Maghermal
Bath, Srinagar (in respect of Kashmir Division)
on or before 10.4.2001 during office working
hours on any working day. The candidates would be
called for interview as would be fulfilling
necessary requirements as laid down in this
notice:-
1. The selection of candidates would
broadly be governed by the followings
conditions:-
"A pass in SSC/SSLC/HSLC with
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and
English/Technical High School/Matriculation with
Math and Science/General SSC/SSLC/10 years school
all with eligibility for admission to plus
two/Higher Secondary course of study/intermediate
course with aggregate minimum of 60% marks but
having not less than 60% marks in Science and
Mathematics with English in each subject as well
in the qualifying Examination. In the case of
SC/ST candidate minimum percentage required is
50%
Or
"Any other qualifications
recognised as equivalent to the above by the
Board of Secondary Education of the State.
Whereever there are elective or optionals should
be Science and Mathematics or Engineering with a
minimum of 60% in Science and Mathematics with
English as a subject of study in Matriculation in
the qualifying examination (10% relaxation in
case of SC/ST candidates).
2. Age should be between 15 to 21
years and for SC/ST candidates it should be 15 to
23 years, as on Ist July of the year of
admission.
3. Applications will be entertained
only in case of permanent residents of J&K
State.
4. Applications shall have to appear
in the interview before the Selection Committee
at their own expenses.
5. Preference in Selection will be
given to candidates who belong to the hereditary
weavers families or those who are in the
profession.
6. Application forms duly filled in
and completed in all respects should be
accompanied by the attested copies of
Matriculation Certificate, Mark List, State
Subject Certificate, Character Certificate and a
certificate, belonging to Weaver's family or
experience certificate, if any.
7. The selected candidates will have
to deposit Rs. 500/= towards caution money and
Rs. 500/- per annum towards tuition fee at the
time of admission.
8. A stipend of Rs. 400/- per month
will be paid to the first four candidates during
the Ist year, Rs. 450/ during the 2nd years and
Rs. 500/- the 3rd year to the selected
candidates. Whereas last two candidates shall be
paid stipend @ Rs. 200/-, 225/- and Rs. 250/-
respectively.
9. The students selected for
admission are required to execute the stipend
bond in the prescribed form.
The completed forms should either be
sent by registered post or delivered personally
in the office of the Director, Handloom
Development Deptt; Post Office Lane, Puran Nagar,
New Plots, Jammu/Joint Director, Handloom Dev.
Deptt; White House Maghermal Bagh, Srinagar
respectively.
The date of interview shall be
notified separately.

Sealed Offers affixed with Revenue
Stamps of Rs 2/- on the prescribed form which can
be had from the office of undersigned against
payment of Rs 100/- in cash are invited for the
auction of below noted Annual Contracts for the
financial year 2001-2002 (1-4-2001 to
31-03-2002). The eligible intending personal
Firms can offer his/their bid on the prescribed
form but not less than the minimum official bid
indicated herein below against each contract.
The bidders alongwith earnest money
of the amount shown against each contract in the
shape of CDR from a Scheduled Bank pledged to the
Administrator, NAC Katra, should reach in the
office of the undersigned by or before 27-03-01
upto 2.00 PM by registered post only.
eligibility:
a) The bidder should be only
permanent resident of J&K State and should
not be a defaulter of NAC Katra.
b) The bidder, if happen to be a
firm, should be duly registered with the
Competent Authority. The bidder should have
sufficient immoveable and/or moveable property
equal to the half of the amount in Jammu and
Kashmir State and Certificate of the Revenue
Officer not below the ranks of Tehsildars
concerned/Banker should be enclosed with the bid
as a matter of proof.
The contract shall be auctioned by
way of sealed offer strictly in accordance with
the terms and conditions and sanctioned schedule
of rates incorporated in the auction notice
issued by this office vide NAC/K/200-01/1097-1106
dated 05-03-01 copy of which can be had from the
office of undersigned on any working day.
The offer received after due date
and time, conditional bids offering bid less than
the official bid amount, and offer without
requisite amount of earnest money in the shape of
CDR and without proof of property certificate
shall not be entertained.
