National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is entrusted with development, maintenance and management of National Highways Development Project (NHDP). The NHAI (the Employer') intends to pre-qualify reputed contractors/firms to upgrade the existing 2 -lane road to 4-lane dual carriageway of flexible/rigid pavement type for about 12 nos. construction packages of size 30-70 kms. length costing approximately US$ 1 million per km falling on NH 5 and NH 60 in the states of Orissa, West Bengal. Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. These packages also include exclusive 2-3 separate contracts for construction of major bridges. 2. Contractors/firms having proven track record and experience of constructing roads and bridges involving modern construction method for both flexibile and rigid pavement type may apply for pre-qualification.
