feel pride as Kamlesh Jolly, Daughter of
the Soil- who has occupied a pivotal post
at United Kingdom which is difficult for
even a Britisher to get. Mrs Jolly,
daughter of Late Munshi Roop Singh, is
serving as Democracy Advisor to the local
Government of Middlesbrough, State of the
United Kingdom. Her job is to advise the
Britishers how to govern and how to solve
woes of the people. She is the first
Indian and the Asian woman, who has been
assigned the job by the British rulers to
solve conflicts of their society.
Daughter of a social worker, Mrs Jolly
belongs to a family which is well known
in the entire Jammu city. One of her
brothers Balwinder Singh served the

personnel including a Naib Subedar were
killed in an ambush laid by the militants
at village Dadwali in Poonch district
while troops of Bhimber Gali Brigade
gunned down a militant at Mankot Sadyal
