terms & conditions of the auction :

1. Every bidder will have to deposit Rs 5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) with the undersigned as earned money before commencement of auction. The amount will be refunded to the un-successful bidders.

2. The interested party/person may inspect the vehicle upto 23-11-2K at 0945 hrs.

3. After fall of hammer successful bidder will full amount of bid in cash within one hour, failing which earnest money deposited will be forfeited and successful bidder shall have no right on auctioned vehicle. Cheque will not be accepted.

4. Commandant 5th Bn ITB Police or Officer authorised by him reserve the right to reject the the highest bid without assigning any reason.

5. Sales Tax will be charged extra as per rule.

6. After auction it will be the responsibility of successful bidder to remove the vehicle within 24 hours from HQ 5th Bn. ITB Police Panthachowk Srinagar (J&K).

7. The vehicle will have to be re-registered and symbols & colour of this organisation required to be removed.

In persuance of Government directions conveyed vide SRO No. 389 dated 24.10.2000 by Commr/Secretary to Govt. Transport Department, under endorsement No. TR-49/99-MVD dated 24.10.2000, the State Transport Authority, J&K hereby fix the maximum chargeable fare in respect of Stage Carriages and medium commercial vehicles as Annexure "A", "B", "C", "D" and "E" to this Notification with immediate effect.

It is further notified that only half of the passenger fare shall be charged in respect of following categories of passenger (both by the State Road Transport Corporation and Private Operators) subject to the fulfilling of the conditions as shown against each category below:-

i/ Physically handicapped/disabled persons, they shall have to produce valid identity cards attested by the Medical Officers, same fare concession to Freedom Fighters and Pthalsemia patients alongwith one attendant is also extended.

ii/ Any person suffering from cancer or who is deaf dumb or blind provided he/she holds a card duly certified by the Principal Medical College, Srinagar/Jammu or from a specialist of Government Hospitals in the State;

iii/ Students travelling from their places of residence to the location of their Educational Institutions and back, once a day provided that the students shall have to produce a bonafide and valid identity card of the institution in which he/she is studying;

iv/ War Widows for the journey performing throughout the State subject to the condition that they shall produce a bonafide and valid identity cards from Zilla Sainik Boards.

In relation to the number of persons that may be carried in a public service vehicle:

i/ A child of not more than twelve years of age shall be reckoned as a half; and

ii/ A child of not more than three years of age shall not be reckoned.

No charges shall be collected from any handicapped persons for carrying a wheel chair, tricycle or any other such mobility aid while travelling.
