elected  members from
various parties were sworn in as the new
councilors of second Ladakh Autonomous
Hill Development Council by Deputy
Commissioner Dheeraj Gupta at the new
Council complex today at about 11 AM. The
oath took by the fresh councilors read
as: "I having been elected as a
candidate to fill a seat in the Ladakh

Kashmir’s most dreaded militant of
Lashkar-e-Toiba, Nazir Ahmed Malik of
Kralpora, died a mysterious death at
Bemina this morning, security forces
claimed to have eliminated nine militants
in different operations in the Valley
since last evening. Besides, two young
girls have died in the 60-hour-long
Wathora encounter, one civilian has been
killed in Bandipore and three more
trainee constables have succumbed to
