Restore Telephone connection Sir, Deptt. of Telecom. or TRAI it makes no difference towards inefficient services to the hapless user. My Telephone 544935 went out of order on 24. X.2K, and same day I got the complaint booked under No. 190704. and for all these past six days I have established contact with any body and every body in the deptt. who counts for the purpose but without any thing positive. Passing the buck seems to be the order of the day, as explanations put forth by various functionaries range for the fault to be overground, internal, underground and Exchange Fault etc. Through your esteemed newspaper I intend sending a wake up call to the drowsy officers of the deptt. to look into this specific problem in particular and other similar complaints in general. Monkey Menace Sir, May the concerned wildlife authorities hear our grievances through this esteemed paper and take action at the earliest. It is before one year that two monkeys appeared in our area. Happily these two were a couple. After some time a third one was born to them. After increasing in number they became more powerful. They started teasing the innocent people most probably the older ones and children. At random they come inside rooms. They snatch the eatables from whom they want. Within a second they appear before a person and leave him transfixed. It is before six months of time that an old lady was walking on her roof top. Suddenly the monkeys appeared at her back and fell her down. With the result her right leg got fractured. It took her six months to recover. Second instance is that before a month my brother's son was playing with his mother in the court-yard. Suddenly the monkeys appeared before them. As the boy tired to take his shuttle cock from the wall, the monkey caught hold of his neck. As a good luck the boy got rescued from the monkeys hand but unfortunately the monkey scratched his ear with the nail. It took him Rs 2000/- to vaccinate five injections. I only quoted two instances. There are several such instances which I can't write. We approached the concerned authorities several times but all in vain. They can't ignore their duties to protect the human beings from these wild animals who have created really terror in our area. Children can't move outside homes. Under the Wild Life Protection Act it becomes their duty to catch hold of these animals as they have trained staff otherwise their population will increase day by day which shall create a great problem for the residents of the area. So it is humbly requested to the concerned authorities to take action in this regard. Yours etc... |
