Selection of Rehbar-e-Taleems Sir, The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has taken a unique decision for the implementation of the Rehbar-e-Taleem scheme in rural and backward areas of the State. I request the Government, on behalf of the people of the State, to make a fair selection of teachers under the said scheme without any partiality and political pressure to enable them to do their jobs with zeal and enthusiasm to better the educational standard in their own villages. This scheme will be a boon for the unemployed youth, taught and the society. As far as the question of the Jammu District is concerned, I have reasons to say it proudly that Mr R K Goyal, the Chairman of the Rehbar-e-Taleem Committee and Mr R K Abrol, the Chief Education Officer, Jammu have given the proof of their honesty, dexterity, efficiency and impartiality in restorting 53 defunct schools by engaging 60 Rehbar-e-Taleem in the first phase. The public of the Jammu District speaks highly of them. There are 1081 vacancies in the Primary and Middle Schools which are yet to be filled up under the rehbar-e-Taleem scheme in the Jammu District. The public of the Jammu District wants the chairman of the selection Committee and its members to evince their true worth in the second phase of selection of teachers under Rehbar-e-Taleem scheme by filling up 1081 vacancies in the Primary and Middle Schools of the Jammu District as honestly, efficiently and impartially as they have succeeded in achieving in the first phase by restarting 53 defunct schools and engaging 60 teachers for the smooth functioning of these schools. As the Chairman of the said Committee for the Jammu District is wise and effcient enough, I request him to complete the second phase of selection of Rehbar-e-Taleem as early as possible without making any further delay. The sooner the chairman succeeds in completing his assignment, the better it is. Yours etc.... |
Restore defunct water supply scheme Sir, Three villages namely Unna, Kantha and Bamblya in Tehsil Sunderbani are situated on the extreme eastern corner of the Rajouri district. These villages are without drinking water. There is no body to bother about this grave problem due to apathy of the officials of Public Health Engineering Department. The Unna water supply scheme was commissioned about a decade back under the control of P.H.E Division-Rajouri but due to negligence of the staff, the scheme has become defunct and these thickly populated villages have been left high and dry. During these last ten years, water has been supplied hardly for one hundred days and the inhabitants have been made to fetch water from wells and during the summer months these wells also become dry adding to the woes of the general public. During the last financial year, a new wall was dug up by the P.H.E Division Nowshera to augment the water supply but the same has been left half way for the reasons best known to officials at the helm of affairs. For the last one and half years, the damaged motor has not been repaired. As a result villagers suffer terribly for want of water. The MLA of the area has not bothered to visit even once during a span of last four years of his tenure. He would visit us again when State election are due. Till then, we are of no use to him. We, therefore, urge the authorities concerned to pay attention to our problems and do the justice. Yours etc... |
