PRESS NOTICE

The Executive Engineer, Jammu Central Division, Central P.W.D., Jammu invites on behalf of the President of India, sealed item rate tenders upto 3.00 P.M. on 13-11-2000 from the eligible and appropriate Class of CPWD contractors (B & R) and those of appropriate class enlisted with Railways, M.E.S., P & T and State J&K PWD for the works (s) 1) Special Repair to doors/windows of residential quarters at GC, CRPF Bantalab and 2) Special Repair to Non-residential Building at GC, CRPF Bantalab. The estimated cost put to tender is Rs 397827/- and Rs 400184/- respectively. The tenders will be opened at 3.30 P.M. on the same day. Earnest Money amounting to Rs 9950/- and Rs 10010/- respectively would be deposited alongwith the tender in shape of deposit at receipt treasury Challan and deposit at call receipt of Schedule Bank guaranteed by the RBI. Earnest money can also be accepted in the shape of FDR on Schedule Bank guaranteed by RBI only if it is valid for atleast six months from the date of opening of tenders. Time for completion of work is Four and Three months respectively. The intending contractors shall apply for purchase of tenders upto 4.00 P.M. on or before 09.11.2000 alongwith valid Income Tax Clearance Certificate and list of works completed satisfactorily during the last five years. The tenders shall be issued to NON CPWD Contractors on production of proof from the appropriate authority of having satisfactorily completed three similar works. (Similar work in this case means Building works) costing not less than Rs 1.19 lacs and Rs 1.21 lakhs respectively during the last five years. The tenders shall be refused in case of non-submission of above referred documents.

The tenders of the contractors who do not deposit the Earnest Money in the prescribed manner as per NIT (in separate envelope) shall not be opened. The tenders in which any condition including that of conditional and/or un-conditional rebate is put forth by the Tenderer shall be summarily rejected.
