POONCH, Jan 10: Troops today foiled an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control (LoC) in Digwar sector by killing two hardcore foreign mercenaries after a fierce two hours long gun-battle. NEW DELHI, Jan 10: The Government has issued fresh instructions to the Army, paramilitary forces and police and intelligence agencies in Jammu and Kashmir to be in a state of preparedness. According to a top Ministerial source, these instructions have been necessitated after classified intelligence inputs clearly hinted that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan is planning to unleash further diabolical designs against India in certain areas, particularly in J&K.......more

Mr Justice B A KhanNEW DELHI, Jan 10: Mr Justice B A Khan, a Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has been transferred and posted as a Judge of the Delhi High Court. According to the Presidential communique issued today, Mr Justice Khan will be sworn-in as Delhi High Court Judge on January 14 and resume his functioning thereafter. A journalist turned Judge, Mr Justice Khan did his initial schooling from Baramulla in Kashmir. He graduated in 1962 from Kashmir University and later did his diploma in Journalism from Punjab......more
