(PDP) leader, Ms Mehbooba Mufti
has asserted that decisions of
the Central Government to release
three militants in exchange of
her sister, Rubaiya Sayeed and an
equal number of ultras for
hijacked passengers of an Indian
Airlines plane, were wrong. In an
exclusive interview with
EXCELSIOR, Ms Mufti, daughter of
former Union Home Minister Mufti
Mohd Sayeed, stoutly refuted the
allegations that militancy got a
boost after the release of
militants in lieu of her kidnaped

Behari Vajpayee today indirectly charged
Pakistan with attempting to disrupt
Indias economy by pumping in fake
currency notes, even as he said this
country had the potential to be a big
power which all friends and enemies are
aware of. There are conspiracies
going on because enemies dont want
to see us prosper. Fake currency notes
are being pumped into our country to
disrupt our economy, Vajpayee said at a
function here without naming Pakistan.

leader, Maulana Azhar Masood, released in
a deal which ended the hijacking of an
