Consumers owe over rupees 164-cr to PDD in Jammu

JAMMU, Dec 27: Over rupees 164 crore have been calculated as arrears by Power Development Department (PDD) from various categories of consumers on account of electricity supplied to them by the Department in three electric divisions of Jammu. While the State’s Public Health Engineering Department (PHE) is the highest defaulter owing rupees 7185.618 lakh to the department, the arrears pending against domestic consumers has been worked out as over rupees 821.105 lakh . Further, there are 134 consumers against whom arrears dues are over rupees one lakh in Parade, Gandhinagar and Division Number-III of Jammu. They owe over rupees 13 crore to the PDD.............more
