In other militancy-related incidents across Kashmir valley since last evening, one militant, two counter-insurgents and a civilians have got killed while as three civilians have sustained injuries in an accidental blast.............more

"If judiciary also fails in performing its duties, then the comman man has to go to the streets in search of the justice", the Chief Justice said, adding that such a trend will then lead to anarchy. Minister for Home Affairs, Mr LK AdvaniNEW DELHI, Dec 19: The Minister for Home Affairs, Mr LK Advani, has ruled out the possibility of constructing safety corridor along the Indo-Pakistan border. Existence of villages in certain areas close to the border has to be kept in mind while discussing the question of having safety corridor, Mr Advani informed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Responding to queries during the question hour, the Home Minister made it clear that there was no proposal to construct safety corridor along the Indo-Pak border. He informed Mr Ramji Lal Suman and Mr Zora Singh Mann that the unwarranted and indiscriminate firing from across the border is confined to the International Border and Line of Control (LoC) in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.......more
