Director General of Jammu & Kashmir Police, Ashok Kumar SuriSRINAGAR, Dec 1: Director General of Jammu & Kashmir Police, Ashok Kumar Suri, today clarified that inspite of the month-long ceasefire of security forces, his Police force would continue to act against the militants as long as they retained unauthorised weapons with themselves. He asserted that nothing could stop the Police from proceeding against the militants. On occasion of his maiden visit to Kashmir as DGP, Mr A K Suri clarified that Police would act without any hesitation whenever it received specific information regarding the presence of gun-wielding militants in the State. He was holding an informal chat at his Iftar party with Srinagar-based mediapersons here this evening .........more
