Kashmir’s ground realities and Hizb ceasefire

From Ahmed Ali Fayaz

SRINAGAR, Aug 9: Like a many unorganised insurgencies, militants in Kashmir too trained their guns on the hapless common man who became sandwiched between the key players of the game. On one side, sections of security forces and their local helpers put a blotting paper on an average Kashmiri’s blood and on the other hand militants of separatist and pro-Pakistan outfits assumed the multi-disciplinary role of a social reformer, legislator, judge and the Thanedar.
